Case Studies
Tiny has helped a lot of rider over the years. Here are just a few of her success stories.
Guto de Faria
The Sydney Olympics in 2000 produced what is probably my proudest moment, as I trained Guto from the age of 18 and his horse Hunefer from 5 years old.
Guto was a young Brazilian who was sent from Lars Sederholm. He and his wife also worked for Eventers International – she groomed for him in Sydney.
Guto now runs a successful business in Brazil.
Takeaki Tsuchiya
Taki came to me on the recommendation of Malcolm and Judy Pyrah.
He spoke no English so we both got very good at sign language. We also had to introduce him to culture. We had to move fast because Taki was given 4 years to prepare for the Atlanta Olympics. This meant buying him horses to enable him to do this. I am very proud that both Guto and Taki were the highest places riders for their teams in those Olympics.
Giovanni Menchi
Giovanni’s horse went lame whilst preparing for Athens 2004.
He leased Hunefer from Eventers International and we were able to organise a plan for him to realise his dream, with him coming over from Italy for specific competitions and training.
He was a very keen motorbike enthusiast and went round the Olympic course with a photo of Valentino Rossi tied round his boot. He also finished as the highest finisher in the Italian team.
